Changing your email address
Your email address is your Costello login and where billing notifications, invoice copies, and channel-disconnect alerts go. You can change it at any time.
How to change your email
- Go to Settings → Account in your Costello workspace.
- Click Edit next to your current email address.
- Enter your new email address.
- Enter your current password to authorise the change.
- Click Send verification email.
A verification link is sent to your new email address. Click the link within 24 hours to confirm the change. Until you confirm, your old email address stays active — the change does not take effect until the new address is verified.
If you don't receive the verification email
- Check your spam or junk folder.
- Make sure you entered the correct new address (go back and re-request if not).
- Add
noreply@costellohq.comto your contacts and re-request. - If it still doesn't arrive after 10 minutes, submit a support case →.
Changing the email address for billing only
If you want invoices sent to a different address (for example, your accountant's email) without changing your login, add their address under Settings → Billing → Billing details → Invoice email. Invoice copies will go there in addition to your account email.
If you've lost access to your current email
If you can no longer access the email address on your account (for example, a former employee's address), you'll need to verify your identity to make the change. Submit a support case → from any email you can access. Include your workspace name and the last 4 digits of your payment card (if on a paid plan) so the team can verify you're the account holder.
